Recently, there have been a few accounts that sell discount dA premiums, like CORE membership, cake badges and llama attire. They do this as follows: each entrant pays, say, 20 points for a cake badge, they're put on a waiting list, as soon as 4 people have paid 20 points, the person on top of the waiting list gets a cake badge. This seems cute, but it's actually a Ponzi scheme, a type of pyramid scheme, and as such it is illegal. While the starters of such accounts can hardly be compared to Madoff or Shkreli, they essentially do the same thing: relying on the next batch of investors to pay off the first ones. Finished refunds for DressMyLlama + YourAreStarredEveryone who purchased from DressMyLlama and YouAreStarred (and didn't receive anything) have now gotten a full refund!
Here's the history of all that happened.
DressMyLlama was originally an idea by KiranDrawss based on the system popularized by GiveThemCake. I loved the idea so much that I worked hard setting up everything. Kiran and I took turns logging in and running the account.
Later on, KiranDrawss opens YouAreStarred. Later on I decided to help him run it.
DressMyLlama helped people purchase sunglasses and bowties for their llama at a big discount. We were able to give 30 sunglasses and 36 bowties. YouAreStarred was made to help you purchase a core membership (at multiple lengths) at a large discount. We were able to give out 10 cores.
When people purchased something, they would be added to a waiting list. Once enough people donated, the oldest donator would be able to get what they bought. But over time the waiting list grew longer and longer. Visitors became discourag

Just want to apologize for a lack of help on my end currently.~
I'm really not in a big mood to communicate on Devianatart lately due to other stuff going on.
Thanks for everyone whose contributed so far, I was doubtful we'd get so far!
I've been meaning to try to bring more eyes to the group in hopes to make the list more complete, but I just don't have the drive atm to do it.
